Corrosion Under Insulation (CUI)

One of the major cost factors in the industry is Corrosion Under Insulation (CUI). CUI refers to any form of corrosion that occurs due to moisture (such as water ingress or condensation) on the external surface of insulated process pipes or equipment. CUI can compromise the strength of the pipeline and the efficiency of the insulation.

If CUI goes undetected or unaddressed, it can lead to safety incidents due to leaks, increased steam demand, process instability, and ultimately even result in unplanned shutdowns of the process or factory. This results in extremely high maintenance costs and production losses. Insulcon offers several proven solutions. Our specialists provide tailored advice and recommend suitable products, such as Pyrogel® and Cryogel® Aerogels, as well as Aerolite™, customized for your specific requirements.

Our product is designed to efficiently combat unwanted corrosion under your insulation. Insulcon’s solutions allow for easy disassembly and reassembly of applied insulation, facilitating inspections or minor repairs. Custom-developed and tailored just for you!

In addition to being an excellent corrosion protector, it’s also a cost-effective solution to keep your expenses low.
